Success stories

Enterprise South East and the CBDC Westmorland Albert in collaboration with the Greater Sackville Chamber of Commerce and the Cap-Pelé/Beaubassin East Chamber of Commerce hosted their 2011 Entrepreneurship Gala last evening, to recognize excellence and the success of regional entrepreneurs.

The Young Entrepreneur of the year Award 2011 was awarded to Mr. Christopher Harborne, owner of Downtown Digital., situated in Sackville.

Mr. Harborne is one of three shareholders of SpecNet Incorporated, doing business under the name of Downtown Digital. He is the sole owner of the Sackville location and owns one-third of two other stores in Halifax.

Mr. Harborne started his business in 2007. In Sackville, he and his staff supply computer products to the Town and surrounding areas. In addition, they offer in-store and onsite services for consultation and repairs and have recently diversified into home theatre products and professional sound equipment. His customers are divided into two distinct segments, Consumer and Business to Business.
